In this deeply personal conversation, Christina Mokwa shares her experiences with childhood trauma, specifically focusing on her sexual abuse and psychological torture from an older, male, family member. Her memories of the abuse were repressed, also known as dissociative amnesia. Like many people with repressed memories, one day they all came flooding back. Throughout the conversation, themes of empathy, rage, and resilience emerge as she reflects on her path to recovery. What happened to her abuser, how did Christina find peace or healing, and is her healing path an option for you? Today Christina helps others heal from their childhood sexual abuse.
