As a teen Banning had angst, like many teens from a broken home. However, unlike most teens, Banning was shocked to find out that it was recommended he be sent to a psychiatric unit. Once in the long term juvenile ward, he witnessed and was privy to intense psychological abuse. In part one of his story, Banning discusses the circumstances that got him there, the challenges and relationships he experienced in the hospital, and the effects of his abuse. What got him there, was the treatment warranted, when will he ever get out and how have these events affected the rest of his life??
